Privacy Policy

We promise, this will be short and sweet.

When you use Terrible.food, you're sharing information about yourself. Let's talk about what we collect and how we use it.

The gist is that we are staunch privacy advocates. We treat data about you the way we wish sites would treat data about us. As such, Terrible.food defines an intentionally narrow scope of what data we collect and how we use it.

In detail:

What data do we collect? If you're just browsing the site, we collect the usual web logging details like your browser type and what pages you accessed.

We use session cookies. That said, we do not use tracking pixels or anything else that sites typically employ to follow you around the web.

If you choose to share an opinion, we'll collect the usual web logging information along with the text of your answer.

You may optionally provide an e-mail address with your submission. We emphasize the word "optionally" on that last part and we'll cover that in the next section:

How do we use the data? The primary purpose of Terrible.food is to explore opinions in aggregate and share what we find.

Will we ever change the privacy policy? Terrible.food is a new project. It's entirely possible that the privacy policy will evolve over time as we add features or tweak functionality.

But we'll make this clear: if the policy changes, it will apply to new campaigns going forward. We promise that we will not, for example, retroactively apply changes and share data from past campaigns.
